In what may have been the game of the year, Baltimore battled their way through a competitive Cleveland squad on Monday night. Securing the 47-42 victory in dramatic fashion, the Ravens showed up for what became their biggest game of the season. Sitting at 7-5 prior to Monday, the then 9-3 Browns could have stomped on the Ravens playoff hopes with a victory.

After dealing with an outbreak of COVID-19 throughout their organization, the Ravens nearly took down the undefeated Steelers with a depleted team. The game was rescheduled twice for player safety, resulting in a 5:00 p.m. Wednesday showdown.

Baltimore surrendered their first road loss of the season on Sunday, bringing them to 6-3 overall. The underdog Patriots ran up and down the field on a rainy night in Foxborough with their committee of running backs. Missing defensive line studs Calais Campbell and Brandon Williams created huge holes that haunted Baltimore’s front seven all night.

Baltimore battled their way to a 24-10 victory on Sunday, outlasting a tough Indianapolis team lead by their defense. Down 10-7 at halftime, the Ravens scored 17 unanswered points in the final quarters to seal their sixth victory this season. Lamar Jackson had a solid rushing performance with 58 yards and a touchdown, while the Ravens defense took care of Philip Rivers and company.

The Ravens fell just short to their rival Steelers, as Lamar Jackson had a rough day in the rain with three turnovers. Baltimore ran all over Pittsburgh for 265 yards on the ground and dominated time of possession, but it wasn’t enough to hold off a hot offense lead by Ben Roethlisberger and his bevy of talented receivers. The Steelers beat the Ravens 28-24, exiting M and T Bank Stadium with a record of 7-0.

The Ravens snuck out of Philadelphia with a too-close-for-comfort win, hanging on 30-28 after the Eagles scored 22 points in the fourth quarter. Baltimore only managed two field goals in the final 15 minutes, which gave Carson Wentz and a depleted offense a chance to climb back into the match. Baltimore had a season high of 12 penalties, which did not help against the Philly scoring surge.

The Washington Football Team stood no chance on Sunday against a Baltimore squad out for revenge. Quarterback Dwayne Haskins was overwhelmed by the Raven’s pass rush led by Matt Judon, as well as Marlon Humphrey and the rest of the backfield. Baltimore’s performance put them back on track to dominate the regular season, rebounding from an ugly loss against Kansas City.

Baltimore felt the pain of their team crashing back down to earth on Monday night. The Chiefs delivered a humbling loss to the Ravens, with a final score of 34-20. Reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes put on a show, throwing four touchdowns and running another in himself. Coach John Harbaugh admitted that the team got beat in just about every way. This is a night the Ravens would like to forget, yet still learn from. A playoff rematch between these two juggernauts seems imminent.
