The PLL (Premier Lacrosse League) kicked off last weekend in Boston, Massachusetts with five action-packed games! The opening match on Friday evening turned out to be a barn burner between the Cannons and Redwoods, while close games filled up the rest of the weekend. Only the Archers/Atlas matchup proved to be a blowout, yet still exciting with the Archers highflying 18-point scoring offense.

Over the last three weeks, Baltimore has surged through their final opponents with ease. The Jacksonville Jaguars fell 40-14, the New York Giants lost 27-13, and the Cincinnati Bengals were defeated 38-3. All three games saw the Ravens return to their rushing dominance, with the MVP-caliber play of Lamar Jackson leading the way.

In what may have been the game of the year, Baltimore battled their way through a competitive Cleveland squad on Monday night. Securing the 47-42 victory in dramatic fashion, the Ravens showed up for what became their biggest game of the season. Sitting at 7-5 prior to Monday, the then 9-3 Browns could have stomped on the Ravens playoff hopes with a victory.

While the game was much closer and competitive this season, Titans star running back Derrick Henry saved his best play for last. After leading 21-10 early in the third quarter, the Ravens saw Tennessee climb their way back to send the game into overtime.

The underdog Patriots ran up and down the field on a rainy night in Foxborough with their committee of running backs. Baltimore battled their way to a 24-10 victory on Sunday, outlasting a tough Indianapolis team lead by their defense. Down 10-7 at halftime, the Ravens scored 17 unanswered points in the final quarters to seal their sixth victory this season. Lamar Jackson had a solid rushing performance with 58 yards and a touchdown, while the Ravens defense took care of Philip Rivers and company.

The Ravens fell just short to their rival Steelers, as Lamar Jackson had a rough day in the rain with three turnovers. Baltimore ran all over Pittsburgh for 265 yards on the ground and dominated time of possession, but it wasn’t enough to hold off a hot offense lead by Ben Roethlisberger and his bevy of talented receivers. The Steelers beat the Ravens 28-24, exiting M and T Bank Stadium with a record of 7-0.
